Outdoor family sessions are now booking! Family sessions are lifestyle based, capturing the love for one another. The silliness, tickles, giggles, hugs and kisses, not all images will be posed, of course some will but not all.  I approach my family sessions this way as it takes the stress away, children young and older like to play or can be shy and I find approaching sessions this way makes them more enjoyable, allowing me to capture moments and the connection between all of you. I like to do the whole
Family, the siblings with mom and the siblings with dad. The siblings alone as well as individual captures. Parents alone too, you are the core of the family. The combinations are endless and you will have a gorgeous gallery of images to cherish.

I will not just be taking your picture, I will be documenting your memories, your love for your family. This approach works wonderfully ridding the anxiousness felt by you worrying if your children will behave, sit or smile.

The $250 submitted is the retainer to hold your session date and time this will be deducted off the remaining session balance. MHP will be in touch to confirm the date, time and location for your session. As well MHP will send the session forms which need completed upon receipt. MHP well be in touch about

2025 Family session offerings:

Outdoor Full Family Session (all inclusive) $1295
($1195 prior newborn within the year or returning client from the previous year)

Outdoor full family sessions last up to one hour and are all inclusive. Custom editing of 20 images from your session which the client chooses from a soft proofing gallery. After your session you will receive a gallery ID and password to the soft proofing gallery of 50 +/- images, client chooses the final 20 images to be hand edited. I do not simply run an action, I take the time and hand edit each image perfecting them. I want my clients to have beautiful images that will be treasured pieces of art. Images must be chosen and sent back to photographer within 7 days of receipt of gallery ID. Once your final gallery is presented to you it will be available for immediate downloading, you will receive a print release for personal use as well. MHP wants you to have beautiful professionally printed images, therefore the All Inclusive Outdoor Family Session also includes a 16x24 artisan canvas (or a $150 print credit), as well as a 4x6 print of each gallery image. Additional images beyond the 20 included may be purchased at a discounted rate.

Outdoor Mini Family Session (all inclusive) $695
($595 prior newborn within the year or returning client from the previous year)

20 minute session. Custom editing of 6 images from your session which the client chooses from a soft proofing gallery. Client will receive a gallery ID and password to the soft proofing gallery of 20-50 +/- images, client chooses the final 6 images to be hand edited. I do not simply run an action, I take the time and hand edit each image perfecting them. I want my clients to have beautiful images that will be treasured pieces of art. Images must be chosen and sent back to photographer within 7 days of receipt of gallery ID. Once your final gallery is presented it will be available for immediate downloading, you will receive a print release for personal use as well. Additional images beyond the 6 included may be purchased at a discounted rate.

$250 non-refundable retainer is required to schedule your session, the remaining balance is due seven (7) days prior to your scheduled session date. Cancellations must be made at least 5 days prior to your session and will be applied to a future date. *Pursuant to CT State Law a 6.35% sales tax will be added to all session fees, prints and products, prices are subject to change without notice until receipt of non-refundable retainer is received* $100 charge will be added to any weekend session*

To schedule, you would select a "Tentative" Monday date. *All full outdoor sessions will be "tentatively" scheduled for Monday evenings (approximately 90 minutes prior to sunset). Mini sessions will be scheduled when MHP has another mini session scheduled on that same day, they run back to back. If you are booking a mini session I will be in touch to let you know what dates I have open for a mini the week you selected, I do not book a full Monday for a mini session. Your session may be rescheduled to a later day in that same week based on what is reserved for a mini (Tuesday-Thursday) If you have young children keep in mind that the sunsets later in summer months, I ask that you please adjust their naps as needed. 

When you book a session, it is for your immediate family only, friends and relatives must book their own separate session. These are not extended family sessions. Client is to bring their own outfits, clothing is not provided by MHP. Payment guarantees your session time as selected for your booked session. Total due at time of purchase and will include 6.35% CT sales tax.

Location to be disclosed after booking, and is with in a 20 mile radius of Coventry CT.

The sessions include time and talent of photographer, the hand edited high resolution digital images which you will choose from an online proofing gallery. Additional images beyond what are in included in your chosen package are available for purchase at a discounted rate.  Upon finalization of your gallery the high resolution digital images from your gallery will be available for immediate downloading, you will receive a print release for personal use at this time as well. 

INDEMNIFICATION: I understand that the Photographer will make a good faith effort to achieve desired results. However, subjective tastes differ regarding photography, and children are inherently difficult to photograph and may experience behavioral or attention-related problems during the Session. I acknowledge that MHP cannot and will not guarantee any particular results. If Client’s child does not or cannot cooperate during the Session, Client is still responsible for full payment under this Agreement. If you are late to your session, that time will be subtracted from your session time.

The Photographer shall be held harmless for any and all injury to client during the course of the photography session and the immediately surrounding events.

Session fee is also considered a non-refundable retainer and is required to schedule your session, when booking your session it is for your selected date and time and can not be moved to another session or date as you reserved this date and time. Cancellations must be made at least 5 days prior to your session and will be applied to a future date only if you or your child is sick, not due to a scheduling conflict, there are no exceptions to this, if you can not make your selected time you will forfeit your session fee/retainer paid.

SICKNESS
Sick babies, toddlers and parents are not permitted to attend a session; this is due to the nature of work I do with newborns it is very important that I keep a strict no sickness policy.  If any individual who will be attending and or the child to be photographed has been sick 48 hours prior to their scheduled session, contact must be made with Melissa Hartigan Photography, at that time MHP will make arrangements to reschedule your session, there is absolutely no exception to this policy. Sick individuals will be sent home.
